If you ever run into a Vacuum Error message on your Harvest Right Freeze Dryer and have checked to make sure that: 1) the hose was tight, 2) the door seal was making good contact, and 3) the drain valve was closed, but still couldn't get past the error, this Quick Hose Repair fix might be for you!
Although there may be an unlikely issue with your pump — like a broken reed valve in the oil type pump, or water buildup in the oil-free pump — this simple and inexpensive quick fix might solve your problem (after you've checked everything else). This would likely be the case if you have disturbed the way your hose has been connected prior to receiving the vacuum error issue.
The "wrap" mentioned in the video is available in various forms and under many brand names. At the time this video was created, the cost ranges from $7 to $9 for 10 feet. Even Walmart has a version of this under another name. The big thing to look for is "Self Bonding Silicone Wrap".
