Mountain House Lasagna with Meat Sauce in a #10 Can

Italian-style entree with meat sauce, cheese, and noodles. 9 servings.

Production Date: 2022 (Best by 2052)

  • 30+ year shelf life when stored unopened in a cool, dry area below 75° F
  • 100% freeze dried food with superior taste
  • Easy to prepare — just add water
  • Each can is packaged with an oxygen absorber and comes with a resealable plastic lid
  • Perfect for emergency food storage supplies or large group outings

This Mountain House lunch or dinner entree is fully cooked and then freeze dried. Just add boiling water, and you will have a hot, delicious meal in about 10 minutes (cold or room temperature water can be used, but it will increase the rehydration/reconstitution time to about 20 minutes). And, because no cooking is needed, this food requires much less water and fuel than most fresh, frozen or dehydrated foods, further conserving these two precious commodities.

About Mountain House Cans

Having long term stored food on hand for emergencies will keep you ready for just about any unexpected crisis. Just imagine what a lifesaver these foods can be if you were to lose your electricity for several days! Mountain House Cans are perfect to have on hand for any potential extended emergency or any situation affecting a group of people.

We are a stocking dealer for the Mountain House brand product line. Our inventory is current and fresh stock. We receive our shipments direct from the manufacturer, OFD Foods LLC (formerly Oregon Freeze Dry), located in Albany, Oregon (about 45 minutes north of our warehouse facility in Eugene).

Storage and Handling

Store Mountain House products properly to ensure maximum shelf life. Optimal storage is in cool, dark areas with low humidity (75°F or lower). Once open, the manufacturer recommends that the contents be used within 1–2 weeks after opening for optimal product quality, flavor, and nutritional value. Refrigeration or freezing will extend usability of the product.

After hydration, treat any leftover food as you would fresh food.

Note: #10 cans are sold by weight, not volume. Some settling of the contents may occur due to shipping, handling, or variations in the product's density.
