The ready-to-eat, shelf-stable MRE Pizza was originally developed for the United States Military, and used in the Military FSR First Strike Rations. Manufactured in the USA by Bridgford Foods.
No cooking is required–it can be eaten cold, but we recommend heating the pizza in the pouch in an MRE Flameless Ration Heater or immersing it in hot water for 5-10 minutes. For a crispy crust, remove the pizza from the pouch and bake it in the oven on a cookie sheet or pizza stone for 6-7 minutes. It's microwavable too–just pop it in for about 20 seconds (do not microwave the foil pouch!) for a delicious warm slice of pizza.
