An MRE—Meal, Ready to Eat—is a single, nutritionally complete, meal ration containing 1,100-1,300 calories. An MRE requires no water to reconstitute the meal. It truly is ready to eat – hot or cold. MREStar meal kits are manufactured to military spec with calorie count of one complete meal. There is no need to add water to an MRE. Simply open the pouch, heat if desired, and enjoy!
MREs are perfect for any outdoor use such as camping, hunting, hiking or at the beach, and are perfect for emergency situations. Their aluminum thermo stabilized pouches provide long shelf stability without refrigeration.
MREStar meals meet or exceed the military specifications of the MRE industry. Stated best by date for these meals is three years from the date of manufacture when stored at 80°F, however shelf life typically averages 5–7 years when stored in cooler conditions (above freezing).
