This Mountain House breakfast entree is fully cooked and then freeze dried. Just add boiling water, and you will have a hot, delicious meal in about 10 minutes (cold or room temperature water can be used, but it will increase the rehydration/reconstitution time to about 20 minutes). And, because no cooking is needed, this food requires much less water and fuel than most fresh, frozen or dehydrated foods, further conserving these two precious commodities.

Storage and Handling
DO NOT OPEN UNTIL READY TO USE.
Store Mountain House products properly to ensure maximum shelf life. Optimal storage is in cool, dark areas with low humidity (75°F or lower). Once open, the manufacturer recommends that the contents be used within 1–2 weeks after opening for optimal product quality, flavor, and nutritional value. Refrigeration or freezing will extend usability of the product.
After hydration, treat any leftover food as you would fresh food.
Note: #10 cans are sold by weight, not volume. Some settling of the contents may occur due to shipping, handling, or variations in the product's density.
