Review Mountain House Fire Roasted Vegetables, FireBox Stove & Stainless Swiss-style Army Knife

02 Jun, 2015

In this video, we review the freeze dried Mountain House Fire Roasted Vegetables alongside Molokai rib eye steaks grilled on a FireBox Folding Stove.

For the stove fuel, we used standard briquets and also added some Kiawe wood to impart a sweet Hawaiian "mesquite" flavor to our steaks. Da best!

We also tried some MRE BBQ sauce and used some awesome Hawaiian seasoning spices called Ono (sea salt, cracked pepper, ginger, garlic) on our steaks.

This video was filmed on island of Molokai's "West End" on Kepuhi Beach. It was a perfectly delicious meal to end a perfect day in May 2015. As you can see in our series of Hawaii 2015 videos, the beaches on Molokai are absolutely beautiful. On this particular evening, we only saw one other couple the entire time we prepared, cooked, ate, and watched the sunset

N/A**UPDATE** Unfortunately, Mountain House has since discontinued their freeze dried vegetable product line. :(

We no longer have Firebox Stoves in our inventory, but they are available at Amazon.com: Firebox Bushcraft Camp Stove Kit - Wood Burning / Multi Fuel - Collapsible / Folding - Portable Campfire.

If the Stainless Steel Camping Utensil Knife Set is in stock, you can find it on our Camping & Survival Gear page @ TheEpicenter.com.

...sorry, the rib eye steaks are no longer available... ;)
