Review Freeze Dried Mountain House Beef Stew in a #10 Can

14 Jul, 2010

A video taste test review of the freeze dried Mountain House Beef Stew in a #10 can. This product is also available in the 2-Serving Pouches.

UPDATE: Mountain House has discontinued the Pro-Pak Beef Stew.

This hearty stew received a big thumbs up from TheEpicenter Crew and our guest. One of the most common comments: "It doesn't taste 'freeze dried' and all the components recontituted very well." This is a great staple item for your emergency food storage, and a great pick for camping and hunting trips.

This Mountain House lunch or dinner entree is fully cooked and then freeze dried. Just add boiling water, and you will have a hot, delicious meal in about 10 minutes (cold or room temperature water can be used, but it will increase the rehydration/reconstitution time to about 20 minutes). And, because no cooking is needed, this food requires much less water and fuel than most fresh, frozen or dehydrated foods, further conserving these two precious commodities.

Mountain House freeze dried foods are ideal for camping, hiking, hunting, RV trips, and especially for long term storage and emergency food supplies.
