We freeze dried four (4) trays of Spaghetti in our home freeze dryer. About a week later we decided to try it out in this video review. Everyone was happy! That doesn't happen very often!
We weren't sure exactly how much water to add to reconstitute it, so we just put enough in to not have much excess water in the pan, then mixed it around and added until the consistency of the sauce was the same as when it was put on the tray. The noodles turned out great. The meat had the right texture too.
One sauce batch had beef, and browned onions; the other batch had beef and pork, browned onions, and olives. The olives freeze dried and reconstituted just fine which made Bryan very happy!
