The ready-to-eat, shelf-stable MRE Sandwich was originally developed for the United States Military, and used in the Military FSR First Strike Rations. Manufactured in the USA by Bridgford Foods.
No cooking required - it can be eaten cold, but we recommend heating in the pouch in an MRE Flameless Ration Heater or in hot water for 5-10 minutes. It's microwavable too ... about 20 seconds in the microwave (do not microwave the foil pouch!) for a delicious warm pocket sandwich.
