SHIPPING POLICY



Our Published Free Shipping Offers

Any free shipping offers are valid ONLY for FULL CASES of Mountain House Cans (6 of same item), Wise Food Buckets, Wise Long-Term Food Systems, and Gourmet Reserves Complete Food Storage Systems delivered to a valid physical shipping address within the contiguous U.S. (48 lower states only; our free shipping offer is not valid for Hawaii or Alaska orders). Any additional items will incur shipping charges which are based on UPS Ground list rates. Expedited shipping requests and undeliverable or refused orders do not qualify for our free shipping offer.

Larger orders (over 300 lbs.) will typically ship by freight; all others via UPS Ground.

Delivery Delays

Weather-related Conditions may cause a delay in delivery of your order. Contact us or visit www.UPS.com if you have any questions regarding current delivery exceptions in your area.

Incorrect Shipping Addresses may delay delivery of your order and will result in an ADDRESS CORRECTION FEE of $12 for each package in the shipment. To help prevent delivery delays and Address Correction Fees, please double check the shipping address prior to submitting your order. The most common mistakes made when providing us with shipping address are an incorrect zip code, wrong street number, missing apartment/suite number, and/or missing company name.

In all fairness, any fees billed to us by UPS for an address correction or change will be charged back to you when we receive them.

Special Shipping Instructions

We always do our best to accommodate requests for special shipping instructions. Please understand that "no signature required" (and similar) instructions releases all liability from TheEpicenter.com and the shipping carrier for any loss or damage to the package at delivery.

Undeliverable or Refused Orders

All undeliverable or refused orders will be charged initial shipping cost plus return shipping cost and processing fees (see our Returns & Refunds Policy).

Calculated Shipping Costs

All shipping costs are based on UPS Ground Service (shipped from our location in Eugene, Oregon). Please allow up to 7-10 days for delivery of your order.

We ship at approximately 3 p.m. on weekdays (non-holidays). If your order is submitted and received by Noon (West Coast/Pacific Time), we can usually get it out the same day. If your order is submitted after Noon on Friday or through Sunday night, it will not ship until Monday (excluding holidays). Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Faster Shipping Options are available by special request: 3 Day, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day expedited services. Saturday delivery is an option for 2nd Day and Next Day service at an additional charge. Faster shipping options will increase normal Ground delivery charges by up to triple or more. No weekend or observed holiday delivery options are available.

NOTE: Some items are not eligible for expedited shipment due to FAA regulations (i.e., MRE heaters, matches, fuel, and similar items).

If you need an item faster than normal “Ground” delivery time, please place a note in the Special Instructions box advising us with what date and time you need your order. We will contact you with the revised shipping cost before final processing and authorization for additional shipping charges.

TheEpicenter.com Ground shipping speed

Our order system knows how much each item weighs (and if special shipping rates must be added). Shipping costs are automatically calculated based on your Shipping Zip Code (Continental U.S. Lower 48 only).  When possible, our system calculates your shipping costs based on best shipping conditions (i.e., if all your items can be shipped in one box, etc.). In some circumstances, we are not able to place all your items in one box, and our system accounts for those conditions and charges you accordingly. A good example: When a case of MREs is ordered along with a Siphon Pump, the MRE case will be shipped by itself, and the siphon pump will be shipped in another box. NOTE: There is a 1-lb. minimum shipping charge that applies to all orders.

Please note that the same items shipped to New York and to California will have very different shipping costs! That's because California is closer to our shipping location than New York is, and the shipping charges are based on both weight and distance. So be prepared for higher shipping costs if you reside on the East Coast.

Alaska and Hawaii Orders: Our system does not calculate shipping to Alaska or Hawaii. Please call us at 541-684-0717 to place your order. We typically ship orders to Alaska and Hawaii via USPS Priority Mail-Insured (2-3 business day transit time). NOTE: Certain items cannot be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii due to FAA regulations.

Shipping Confirmation

We will contact you by email or phone to let you know if an item is out of stock or if your shipment will be delayed. As soon as your order has shipped, we will send you a shipping confirmation email with tracking number(s) for the shipment.
